Now my (Emily’s) own words– We have every intention to attempt to monetize, or earn an income, through this blog as we build it. My plan to do this is by incorporating affiliate links that are applicable to the post’s content. Example who be, if I’m using a certain product in the post, I may link where you could purchase that or similar products. If you choose to click on the link and make a purchase, I may receive a small amount from the company you are purchasing from (at no additional cost to you) because I referred you. I will only do this with things that our family uses, plans on purchasing, or would use if given the opportunity.
Another way that I plan to monetize through this blog is by paid ads. These might not directly be related to the content of the post. I’m still learning how this all works but I’m not sure how much control I will have over the specific ads that appear. You’ve probably seen a million of these in the past as they look like little commercial ads on websites. Some of these pay the blog owner every time they are viewed while others pay only if the ads are clicked on. I will try my best to keep these to a minimum so not to overwhelm readers or become annoying.
In the future, I hope to sell digital products as well. These may be e-books, worksheets, building plans, etc.. We are at the beginning of our online journey so all of this is subject to change and I will keep you updated along the way so that we maintain transparency.
Thank you~ Emily
